MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced a Long Island travel ban starting at 11 p.m. Monday.

The roads will only be open for emergency vehicles.

Cuomo made the remarks during a storm briefing with local officials in Melville on Long Island.

Mayor Bill de Blasio previously announced that New York City’s streets will be closed at 11 p.m. except for emergency vehicles.
