NEW YORK (AP) - New York City will have more emergency personnel available during the storm.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city will have 40 percent more ambulances at the ready on Monday afternoon and evening.

He said the Fire Department will have an extra 500 staff members on duty.

De Blasio says the public can help by staying out of the way of emergency vehicles.

In fact, he says, residents should not be outside at all.
