SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old man found Saturday with a gunshot wound died after a fight with an acquaintance in Salt Lake City.

Authorities identified shooting victim Christian McDonald of West Valley City on Monday.

Police Sgt. Robin Heiden says McDonald was in the Sugar House neighborhood when the two men got into an argument that ended with both shot.

Police didn’t immediately release the name of the second man, who officers found after he went to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Authorities say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident with no ties to the area where McDonald was found.

No arrests have yet been made in the investigation that started after a motorist found McDonald in a parking strip with a handgun next to him.
