NEW YORK (AP) - The United Nations headquarters in Manhattan is closing early Monday and will remain closed on Tuesday.

U.N. officials say the building will close at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The closure means the cancellation of Monday evening’s opening of an exhibition on the Holocaust by U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin.

Tuesday’s U.N. commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz also is canceled.
