ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - Two companies are building new manufacturing sites and adding 141 jobs in Calhoun County.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported (https://bit.ly/1wz29Q5 ) Tuesday that sign builder The Fitts Company and truck outfitter Thermo King Columbia together are investing more than $8 million in the county.

The Fitts Company of Lexington is building on 17 acres at the Industrial Park along Interstate 26. The company says it is bringing 105 new jobs.

Thermo King Columbia is building on 15 acres at the same area along I-26. The business outfits trucks and trailers. It says 20 jobs will be added in the next three years and 22 employees are moving to the site from the firm’s Columbia plant.
