NUTLEY, N.J. (AP) - Nine people were displaced when a fast-moving fire damaged a multifamily home in northern New Jersey.

The fire on Brown Street in Nutley was reported around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday. Firefighters soon responded, but their efforts were hampered by frigid temperatures and frozen fire hydrant water.

The fire was finally extinguished around 5 a.m.

No serious injuries were reported in the fire, but two residents were taken to the hospital for evaluations.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
