BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Highway and transportation Department says construction work will require lane closures on Highway 264 in Benton County.

Officials say road crews will be restriping the Highway 264 bridge over Interstate 49 Tuesday. The work will reduce Highway 264 eastbound and westbound traffic to one lane in each direction.

The contractor may also need to reduce traffic to one lane, using flaggers. But the flagging operation will only be needed for short periods, if at all.

The lane reductions will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Another lane reduction is scheduled on Wednesday as crews set up a temporary concrete barrier wall on top of the Highway 264 overpass in order to configure traffic to two 13-foot lanes along the north side of the of the bridge.
