KENT, Ohio (AP) - Devereaux Manley and Kris Brewer scored 16 apiece, and Jimmy Hall had 15 points and 15 rebounds to help Kent State beat Central Michigan 63-53 on Tuesday night to extend its win streak to six games.

Manley scored seven-straight points to start a 17-0 run by Kent State (15-5, 6-1 Mid-American) which opened up a 41-26 lead with 13 minutes to play. Central Michigan went scoreless for more than 7 ½ minutes during that stretch.

The Chippewas (14-4, 4-3) responded by scoring 12 in a row, including back-to-back three-point plays by Chris Fowler and Austin Keel to cap the spurt, trimming its deficit to 43-40 with 8:33 left.

Central Michigan, however, would get no closer, shooting just 5-of-18 from the field and 2-of-5 from the free throw line in the final 8:30.

Fowler led Central Michigan, which came into the game averaging 83.9 points per game, with 15 points.
