RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A King George County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for using the Internet on his cellphone to solicit sexually explicit photos from eight young girls.

The U.S. attorney’s office says 26-year-old Dane Scott Mihlon was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Richmond. He pleaded guilty in October to a single count of enticement of a minor.

Court papers show that Mihlon admitted trying to obtain sexually explicit pictures from girls ranging in age from 12 to 16. On one occasion, he persuaded a 15-year-old Oregon girl to send him at least five photos.

Prosecutors described Mihlon as “every parent’s worst nightmare.” Defense attorneys attributed Mihlon’s actions to immaturity, depression and alcohol abuse.
