LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Improvements along Interstates 30 and 630 will force lane closures in Little Rock.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says crews will be patching Interstate 30 eastbound and westbound, requiring the closure of one or two lanes. The westbound lane closures will be Tuesday and Wednesday, with the eastbound closures Thursday and Friday. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Officials say construction work will also require lane closures at the Interstate 430/630 interchange in Little Rock.

Crews will construct curb and gutter, forcing lane closures on I-630 westbound through Friday. Crews will also install drain pipe on the I-630 westbound to I-430 southbound flyover ramp.

This project is part of a $125 million plan to reconstruct the I-430/I-630 interchange that’s scheduled to be complete this summer.
