HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu authorities say eight students at an Oahu elementary school were sickened following detection of a chemical odor.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://is.gd/NzcTrj) reports that emergency medical responders treated eight students from Mililani Ike elementary school Monday afternoon.

Responders say six students were taken to a hospital, but the guardians of two other students refused transport to the hospital for the children.

Responders say the students were in stable condition, but complained of symptoms including nausea and headaches.

A hazardous materials team from the Honolulu Fire Department was unable to detect any hazardous gas with air-monitoring devices.
