STANFORD, Ky. (AP) - Authorities in central Kentucky have arrested a 25-year-old man following a carjacking and kidnapping last week in Missouri.

Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said the arrest Tuesday came after a 2-mile vehicle pursuit on U.S. 27 south of Stanford. Folger says the vehicle wrecked and the suspect attempted to run but was taken into custody about 300 yards away.

The FBI said Robert Caldwell of the Danville, Kentucky, area may face state and federal charges.

The Missouri incident happened last Thursday in the Kansas City area. The victim was able to get away after a struggle and was found near St. Louis.

That vehicle was later found in Bardstown, Kentucky.

The FBI says a vehicle was also abandoned in Pulaski County and another carjacked a short distance away.
