COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is putting on more workshops intended to help South Carolina veterans get prepared for jobs in the civilian working world.

The Republican is kicking off half a dozen more events around the state beginning on Tuesday. Sessions are scheduled for Duncan, St. Matthews, Beaufort, Florence, Conway and Charleston this month and into February.

Scott’s office says the workshops provide an opportunity to make veterans aware of the job resources available to them. They also offer a chance to work on resume writing and interview skills.

Scott says two veterans’ job and resource fairs are scheduled for March in Charleston and Greenville.
