FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A turkey truck driver was seriously injured and a dozen turkeys were killed in a chain-reaction crash that also involved a truck transporting chickens.

KFSN reports (https://abc30.tv/1zz37U2 ) that the crash involved two Foster Farms trucks, a fuel tanker, and a pickup truck at 3 a.m. Wednesday on northbound Highway 41 in Fresno.

A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol says the turkey truck had pulled over to the side of the road for an unknown reason.

The driver was outside when a tanker truck hit the rig, pinning the driver under a tire.

A pickup truck and a second Foster Farms truck then collided with the back of the tanker truck.

The driver of the tanker truck suffered major injuries.

The two other drivers were not seriously injured.
