NEW YORK (AP) - A woman on Long Island gave birth to a baby inside a car just as a massive snowstorm hit the region.

Authorities tell CBS New York (https://cbsloc.al/1Df7lxD ) the father called police from Manhasset Monday saying the woman was in labor and the baby was coming.

Police say ambulance medical technician Lawrence Loiselle talked the nervous father through the delivery and instructed him on how to keep the baby warm and dry. An ambulance soon arrived after.

CBS says both the baby boy and the mother were hospitalized and are doing fine.

Loiselle said hearing the baby cry made him “feel really good.”
