CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Willie Clayton scored 19 points, Mike Thorne Jr. chipped in 14 and Charlotte rolled to an 86-61 victory over Florida Atlantic on Thursday night.

Clayton was 9 of 14 from the floor and had seven rebounds. Thorne finished on 6-of-9 shooting and grabbed seven boards. Keyshawn Woods scored 13 points and Torin Dorn and Terrence Williams had 10 points apiece for Charlotte (9-11, 3-5 Conference USA), which shot 55 percent from the field and outrebounded Florida Atlantic 47-24.

Clayton scored seven points in the first half as the 49ers built a 41-25 halftime lead. Back-to-back layups by Clayton capped a 13-3 run to give the 49ers a 62-37 lead with 11:31 left.

Marquan Botley scored 23 points, and Justin Massey and D’Andre Johnson added 10 points each for Florida Atlantic (8-9, 1-5).
