LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has appointed a new associate vice chancellor for student success, retention and online and extended learning.

The school announced the appointment of Sherry Rankins-Robertson on Thursday. Rankins-Robertson will begin her appointment Feb. 9.

Rankins-Robertson came to UALR in 2012 from Arizona State University to be the writing program administrator in the Department of Rhetoric and Writing.

She was a member of the cross-disciplinary team that launched the inaugural Charles W. Donaldson Summer Bridge Academy and has continued to serve as the literacy coordinator for the Donaldson programs. 

Rankins-Robertson was selected from a group of three finalists.
