SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - One of two men who were badly beaten during a home invasion in Sparks last week has died.

Sparks police say 68-year-old Robert McDonald was taken off life support on Tuesday at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Officers responded to a call at a home on 20th Street about 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 22 to find two men with serious injuries.

McDonald’s roommate also was hospitalized but was treated and released on Tuesday.

Police say they still don’t have any leads in the case and are continuing to search for suspects.

Secret Witness is offering a $2,500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
