GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Spencer Collins scored 14 points as Wofford handled UNC Greensboro 58-42 on Thursday.

Wofford (17-5, 8-1 Southern) fell behind by 10 points over the first 5 ½ minutes while turning the ball over five times. An 11-2 run in the middle of the half brought the Terriers even, and a 9-point spurt late in the half gave them a 30-22 lead at the break.

UNC Greensboro (6-16, 2-7) brought it to within three points on Marvin Smith’s 3-pointer early in the second, but Spencer Collins’ 3-pointer pushed it back to eight two possessions later and Wofford was able to hold off the Spartans down the stretch.

Wofford shot 60 percent from the floor. Lee Skinner had 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting and Karl Cochran added 11 points.

UNC Greensboro was led by Diante Baldwin with 11 points. The Spartans shot just 32 percent, including 2 of 15 beyond the arc.
