INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have located a driver accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal accident near Incline Village.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Manuel Verdusco was found hiding in his Incline Village apartment on Friday, a day after the accident.

Authorities say he was taken to a hospital with facial, ankle and arm injuries, and will be arrested after his release there.

Verdusco is accused of being behind the wheel when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming Jeep on the Mount Rose Highway on Thursday evening.

Troopers say 40-year-old Hugo Soto-Barrios was a passenger in Verdusco’s vehicle and died later at a hospital.

Three occupants of the Jeep were taken to a hospital with major or serious injuries. Their names were not immediately released.
