LAUREL, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a New Jersey man with drug offenses after 10 pounds of marijuana was seized during a traffic stop.

It happened about 9:10 p.m. Thursday on Sussex Highway in Laurel. Authorities say a trooper pulled over a car whose driver was speeding.

Officers say the driver agreed to a search of his vehicle, and the trooper found three large, sealed cardboard boxes in the trunk. A drug sniffing police dog alerted to the presence of narcotics in the boxes, and officers found 10 pounds of marijuana.

The driver, 27-year-old George Bolzoni of Union City, New Jersey, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and other offenses.
