ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say Interstate 89 southbound between the St. Albans and Georgia exits has reopened after a jack-knifed tractor trailer and multi-vehicle crash.

Police say the tractor trailer jack-knifed in slippery road conditions on Friday morning. A passerby then stopped in the travel lane causing a multi-vehicle crash. An ambulance responding to the scene also was rear-ended by a vehicle.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries.

Police are reminding drivers to slow down during bad weather and not to stop in travel lanes.
