JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - An Amber Alert was canceled Friday for 2-year-old Jackson boy who police say was abducted from his apartment late Thursday night.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain says the child was found safe and unharmed in Panola County Friday. No other details were immediately available.

Jackson Police Department spokeswoman Colendula Green says the child, identified as Isiah Summerall, was removed from the apartment around 11:45 p.m. after some people broke down the door.

The child is described as a black male about three feet tall and weighing 42 pounds.

The MBI had said the child might be accompanied by Ricky Dandridge Jr., who was driving a red Kia SUV with Texas license plates.
