PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona has a new state forester.

Gov. Doug Ducey’s office on Thursday announced the appointment of Jeff Whitney as director of the Arizona State Forestry Division.

Whitney is a former U.S. Forest Service official. He replaces Scott Hunt as Arizona’s state forester.
