KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) - A Hawaii County police sergeant has been charged with domestic abuse and terroristic threatening.

Police say Sgt. Marvin Kelly Troutman was arrested and charged Thursday.

He’s accused of pulling the hair of a woman, threatening her and threatening a man. He’s also accused of threatening an officer who responded to the scene Thursday.

Troutman is in charge of traffic enforcement in West Hawaii. He’s been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

Maj. Mitchell Kanehailua tells West Hawaii Today (https://ow.ly/IejJd ) that nobody is above the law.

Police say Troutman was taken to the Kona cellblock, with bail set at $4,000. Troutman wasn’t there Friday morning and didn’t immediately respond to a phone message from The Associated Press left at a number for him.
