BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a Gonzales man to 15 years in prison for downloading hundreds of child pornography videos at his home.

U.S. Attorney Walt Green said in a news release that 34-year-old Jason Louis used peer-to-peer file sharing to download the pornography to his computer and external hard drive.

After an online undercover sting, Green says federal investigators raided Owens’ home in November 2012.

Prosecutors say it was his second conviction for receiving child pornography. Owens was sentenced to two years in prison in 2004 for the same offense.

U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick also ordered Owens on Thursday to pay $2,000 to one of his victims.
