PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A man who drove his car into a home in Pueblo, killing one of the residents, has been sentenced to 48 years in prison.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://bit.ly/1CVwYFZ ) 32-year-old Victor Montour was sentenced Friday for driving his wife’s car into the basement of Johnnie Hagerman’s split-level home March 11. Hagerman was killed and his wife was injured as the couple watched television.

Montour then ran from the scene.

He pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular homicide and one count of leaving the scene of an accident. Montour received 24 years in prison for each of the charges.
