MOLINE, Ill. (AP) - A Moline mother has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in the co-sleeping suffocation death of her 4-month-old son.

Prosecutors say that 31-year-old Terri Lynn Wells and her husband, 24-year-old Anthony C. Schlieper Jr., suffocated their infant June 10 when they fell asleep with him in the bed. They were allegedly intoxicated and under the influence of marijuana at the time.

The (Moline) Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1Hs0vv3 ) reports that Wells pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of child endangerment in exchange for prosecutors dropping a second misdemeanor count and a felony count.

Schlieper Jr. pleaded guilty to one count of child endangerment in December.

Wells is free on $50,000 bail while she awaits sentencing.
