ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Operators of an alleged swingers club in an upscale North Texas neighborhood have been told to halt the adult house parties.

Arlington city officials on Wednesday cited zoning issues and ordered a stop to parties at the nearly $500,000 house, dubbed Eutopia.

Neighbors complained about parties since last May. The home’s front lawn was paved to allow parking for as many as 70 vehicles.

City officials say the site advertises online and is a commercial business providing food, beverages and condoms in the single-family residential area.

David Esopenko, who leases the house, said Thursday it’s not a swingers club and he’ll appeal. He says the weekend parties are geared toward people more open with their lifestyles.

He says there are no employees and visitors are not charged.

Donations are accepted.
