SWANTON, Ohio (AP) - Air fighter jets from a northwest Ohio Air National Guard unit plans to hold exercise flights Friday morning.

Alert fighter jets from the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo will be testing the Aerospace Control Alert system. National Guard officials say the routine exercise will test response capability between the Eastern Air Defense Sector, the Federal Aviation Administration and the 180th Fighter Wing.

Officials say those living in the Columbus, Dayton, Middletown and Clark County areas may hear or see the jets.

The test was scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday, but officials say the flights could be delayed due to weather.
