PITTSBURGH (AP) - Overnight snows were delaying classes at more than 200 western Pennsylvania schools, though major arteries were mostly clear and morning commuters were seeing few delays.

Freezing rain turned to snow late Thursday into Friday morning, leaving one to three inches on the ground and more in the mountain ridges south and east of Pittsburgh.

The National Weather Service says another inch of snow was expected in most areas before the system moves through.

Saturday was expected to be mostly clear with highs in the mid-20s before another storm system moved in Sunday with the potential to drop several inches of snow into Monday with temperatures dropping into the low teens.
