EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts police have arrested a Connecticut man they say stole almost $300 worth of energy drinks from an East Longmeadow supermarket.

Sgt. Patrick Manley says Big Y security personnel saw the suspect on surveillance video enter the store about 5 p.m. Monday, load $177 worth of Red Bull and Monster Energy into a shopping cart, and leave.

Store workers staked out the energy drink section at about the same time Thursday, and the man returned.

This time he loaded a cart with about $114 worth of Red Bull and Monster, and was arrested.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Bryan Kneeland, of East Hampton, Connecticut. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

Manley tells The Republican (https://bit.ly/1CHzlMb ) that stolen energy drinks are often resold on the black market.
