YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - The state of South Dakota has found a new operator for its marina at the popular Lewis and Clark Recreation Area near Yankton.

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission accepted a proposal from Chris Donlin of Pickstown for the purchase of the marina’s assets and approved a new 10-year concession lease.

Donlin has owned and operated Donlin Marine in Pickstown for over 17 years.

The Game, Fish and Parks commission issued a prospectus seeking proposals for the management of the Lewis and Clark Marina in the fall.

Regional Parks Supervisor Jeff VanMeeteren says Donlin’s was the only proposal received by the deadline and it met all prospectus requirements.
