CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The state Senate has passed a bill that would provide greater legal protections to school districts and staff against lawsuits stemming from head injuries suffered by student-athletes.

Senate File 98 was approved on a 21-9 vote Friday. It now goes to the House for further debate.

The bill says failure to implement required concussion-related protocols, in whole or in part, cannot be considered as increasing the inherent risks of any sport or recreation activity.
