DAVIS, W.Va. (AP) - Timberline Four Seasons Resort in Tucker County is looking to make improvements to its resort, with some outside help.

The resort launched its online crowdfunding this week with the hopes of raising $75,000 in 65 days.

CEO Fred Herz told the Charleston Gazette (https://bit.ly/1zemFLH) that the resort is not in any financial trouble.

Instead, Herz says views crowdfunding as the way of the future to engaging loyal customers and improving the resort.

The money raised will go toward upgrading the ski lodge, hotel rooms, terrain park, adding more hotel rooms, developing two other areas and a snow tubing park. The resort also plans to add 40 new snow guns, two new turbine pumps and an upgraded pump station.
