RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A plea hearing has been scheduled for a Virginia woman charged with lying to federal investigators about supporting the Islamic State militant group.

Heather Elizabeth Coffman is set to appear Monday in U.S. District Court in Richmond. She has been in federal custody since her arrest in November.

An affidavit filed by an FBI agent says the 29-year-old Coffman is suspected of conspiring and attempting to provide material support to the militant group known as ISIS. Coffman allegedly promoted the extremist organization on Facebook and offered to use her contacts to help an undercover FBI agent and his fictitious friend travel to Syria to join the group.

According to court papers, lawyers are barred from talking about the case publicly under the federal Classified Information Procedures Act.
