BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Bridgeport police are investigating a drive-by shooting that wounded a 14-year-old boy.

The Connecticut Post reports (https://bit.ly/1CZj0mn) that Khyren Best was shot as he walked with two other males on Trumbell Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

Police said a vehicle drove up to the three at about 2:30 p.m. and the driver fired several shots, striking the teen.

Best was taken to a hospital in a private car. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said they are looking for a silver-colored car described by witnesses.
