DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - Programs that aim to provide early-childhood and childhood education to low-income families in Dickinson are getting more than a $1 million in federal funding.

Members of North Dakota’s congressional delegation announced the continuation of federal funding for the Early Head Start and Head Start programs this week.

The funding will support the more than 200 children enrolled in both programs. Early Head Start and Head Start aim to promote parent involvement and child readiness for kindergarten.
