PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man is in custody after police reported finding images of sexually-abused children on his cellphone.

Police say 41-year-old Kevin Lee Waid was arrested Thursday.

He’s being held on $100,000 bond on suspicion of four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of attempted sexual exploitation with a minor.

The Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified a person communicating through a social networking website app on Jan. 23, obtained a search warrant and found images of children being sexually abused.

Police say a search of the person’s cellphone showed some of the images had been sent to Waid’s cellphone via text messaging.

Waid is on probation for an out-of-state charge of sexual assault of a minor. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
