ROME (AP) - Roma has completed the signing of Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow, with the forward penning a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Doumbia joins as a replacement for Mattia Destro, who moved this week to AC Milan on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Roma says on Saturday it paid 14.4 million euros ($16.2 million) for Doumbia, with a possible 1.5 million euros in bonuses.

The 27-year-old is contract to June 2019.

Doumbia scored 18 goals in 22 Russian league matches for CSKA Moscow last season, and seven in 13 this campaign.

The Ivory Coast international scored his side’s opening goal in the group stage of the African Cup of Nations, helping it reach the quarterfinals.
