LANCASTER, N.H. (AP) - Snowmobilers from New Hampshire and beyond are hauling their vintage sleds to a quarter-mile oval ice track at the Lancaster Fair Grounds for the annual Lancaster Grand Prix.

The event, organized by the Lancaster Snow Drifters snowmobile club, honors more than a half century of snowmobile history. Lancaster was the first town in New England to hold an organized snowmobile race in 1962, and in subsequent years, the race attracted crowds estimated at 15,000 to 20,000.

This year’s schedule included a vintage snowmobile show and Grand Prix Ball on Friday, snowmobile races and a parade on Saturday and the feature Grand Prix race on Sunday.
