NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Authorities in Delaware are investigating the armed robbery of a cell phone store near Newark.

The Delaware State Police says it happened Saturday just before 7 p.m. at the Metro PCS store located at 1641 Pulaski Highway. The Delaware State Police says a male suspect armed with a handgun confronted a 22-year-old store employee and demanded money from the store’s cash register. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled on foot.

There were no injuries.

The Delaware State Police described the suspect as between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray jeans and black sneakers.
