TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Oklahomans will have a chance to observe wintering bald eagles this month in communities and at wildlife refuges across the state.

The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1AtsG7r ) that the Tulsa Chapter of the Audubon Society and the Jenks High School Ornithology Club will hold an Eagle Watch on Jan. 24 and 25 at Helmerich Park, at the Jenks Math and Science Center and at Jenks High School.

Eagle watchers will observe a live eagle nest along the Arkansas River. Spotting scopes will be set up for a good view of the eagles.

Kaw Lake Association will hold its Ultimate Eagle Watch on Jan. 17. A trail ride is planned at Sarge Creek Cove Campground. Those who travel on foot will meet for guided tours to locations where eagles have been spotted.
