WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - City officials in West Palm Beach are planning to temporarily convert some downtown blocks into what’s billed as the world’s longest water slide.

The 1,000-foot slide is planned to run down Clematis Street on Valentine’s Day.

It’s distinguished much more its length, and out-of-place urban setting, than its height. The Palm Beach Post reports (https://pbpo.st/1vBv2KM ) its drop will be just over 20 feet.

The slide made its debut appearance in Salt Lake City last summer. It drew large crowds in that city’s Temple Square.
