NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A Naperville commission is seeking amateur artwork following the theme “I am a Hero Because … “

The contest runs through Feb. 13. It’s sponsored by the Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Disabilities.

Winning artwork will be featured as the background on posters and flyers later this year promoting the commission’s Community Contributor awards.

The awards recognize employers who hire people with disabilities.

All artwork submitted will be displayed in the municipal center during Disability Awareness Month in October.

Results will be announced May 7. No professional artists may enter. All artwork must be two-dimensional and submitted by mail or in person.

Naperville is about 30 miles west of Chicago.
