ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A man has been jailed on charges he lured people into robberies in southeastern Pennsylvania by posting Craigslist ads seeking to sell them items in-person.

Allentown police say they arrested 19-year-old Noel Bautista on Saturday after they traced an ad to him after he allegedly robbed a 29-year-old man outside a motel. Police say Bautista pulled a gun and forced that man to withdraw money from an automatic teller machine.

Police say Bautista robbed another man on Dec. 28 who answered an ad and met him in a convenience store parking lot. That man was robbed of his wallet, cash and cellphone.

Online court records show Bautista is represented by the Lehigh County public defender’s office, which couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday.

He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 12 on robbery, firearms and other charges.
