SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a Syracuse man was shot in both legs by a bullet fired from a car that penetrated his apartment wall.

The shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Syracuse police say people in two cars were firing at each other as they drove past the victim’s building.

Police say the 36-year-old victim was in his apartment when he was hit by a bullet from one of the vehicles.

He was taken to a hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.

Ammunition from both a rifle and a handgun was recovered from the scene.

No arrests have been made.
