WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - Two goals from striker Jeremy Brockie in his farewell match led Wellington to a 3-0 win over defending A-League champions Brisbane Roar on Sunday, moving the Phoenix into second place, four points behind leading Perth.

Manny Muscat scored in the fourth minute and Brockie added goals in the 51st and 67th minutes to give Wellington the win at home. It was Brockie’s last match for Wellingtion before he moves to South African club SuperSport United.

In another match Sunday, striker Mitchell Duke’s goals in the 12th and 27th minutes gave the Central Coast Mariners a 2-0 win over Melbourne City.

Sydney FC entered a three-week break for the Asian Cup with a familiar performance - failing to score in a 0-0 draw Saturday with Newcastle.

Sydney is winless in seven matches and has also gone more than four games - a total of 374 minutes - without scoring a goal.

Perth hosts Adelaide on Monday.
