GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) - Two people are in custody following a pair of reported robberies and a chase that began in northeast Alabama.

Etowah County authorities say 18-year-old Jair Kiran Andrade and 19-year-old Roddarius Sharpe were arrested Monday near Birmingham’s Southern Museum of Flight and are now in the Etowah County jail. It’s unclear if they have attorneys.

A robbery was reported at a convenience store in Collinsville near Interstate 59, and another holdup occurred at a hotel near the highway in Gadsden.

Etowah County deputies chased the getaway vehicle to Jefferson County. Authorities say Andrade and Sharpe were both wanted in Jefferson County for failure to appear in court.

Charges in Etowah County are pending against the two. Sheriff’s officials say they’re reviewing body camera footage for information on a possible third suspect.
