BOSTON (AP) - A Boston teenager charged with fatally shooting an innocent bystander during a gang feud near a Caribbean street festival faces arraignment.

Eighteen-year-old Keith Williams is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Suffolk Superior Court on a first-degree murder charge.

Authorities say Williams was gunning for a rival when he instead shot 26-year-old Dawnn Jaffier in the head in August in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.

Williams has been held without bail since pleading not guilty at his district court arraignment.

Jaffier worked in a city elementary school and a Boys & Girls Club. Friends and co-workers described her as dedicated to helping young people in the city.

Williams’ attorney has not commented but at his prior arraignment told his client to remain hidden over witness identification issues.
